The
ASAP Agency Resource Guide began with a discussion among ASAP’s staff
on how client resources could be enhanced during a time when some Ryan
White funded services were eliminated or reduced. There were additional
concerns about client’s identified needs that were outside the scope of
Ryan White coverage. Our goals included:
- Assist clients to access alternative community resources.
- Provide quick-access information on current providers of Ryan White services.
- Provide
a way clients could access this information without the restrains of
calling in and/or nights and weekend access to information.
A
committee of ASAP staff members: Javier “Toby” Macias, Chris Gardner,
David Nomay and Bill Thomas volunteered to compile a comprehensive list
of resources for clients. David Jordan, an ASAP volunteers, produced
the resource guide. Staff updates the Resource Guide on a regular basis
but we recommend you always place a call for verification before traveling to any location.
